A fox wandered by
Little tweaks here and there and another painting is completed. The hare, that had briefly pondered straying into the landscape, hopped off elsewhere however a fox wandered by for a sneaky peek as the scent of doves floated past his inquisitive nose, but the safety of a dovecote is close by.
A recent trample up Brentor in the hauntingly beautiful Dartmoor partly initiated the dream that inspired this painting. A path below through yellow wild gorse following the line of an old wall sparked more inspiration .... maybe that will be the next painting. Between now and picking up a pencil that may change, who knows what will hustle it’s way into my imagination!
